So if you are renovating like me or wanting to decorate, it’s really important to ask yourself, What flooring is best for your living room?
To decide on this, it’s best to think about what you use your living room for. For us, it’s a place to hang out with friends, watch movies, and host dinners but for some, it can be a playroom, a study, a dining room, and a living room. Once you know what the functionality is, then you can decide what type of flooring may work.
For example, if your kids like to use your living room to play in, I would advise against using carpet. You will be forever washing it and hoovering up food that has been trodden down and after a while, it will start to look tatty and unclean. We don’t have children but I consider carpets to be a little outdated so for us and many others, Solid Wood flooring is a good way to go.
What I love about solid flooring is that different colours and textures can completely change the way a room looks. If you are looking for a warm rustic feeling to your living room, a solid floor like this can really give your room some depth and realism. If you are looking for a cleaner look that is modern and fresh, this floor would be ideal.
