Wellbeing all year round

Even though it is only 3 months into the new year I bet there are a few of you that have given up on your new year resolutions. I have definitely noticed a drop in the amount of people going to my local gym since January and with busy lives, we all seem to be guilty of setting goals we didn’t realise we would find hard to keep. With this in mind, I thought I would share some tips on injecting a little wellbeing into your life that is easy to accomplish and will make your life just that little more balanced and healthy.

SLEEP

Sleep is very important for all of us. We are meant to get an advantage of 8 hours sleep a night but I’m lucky if I get over 6. As my brain never stops, dropping off to sleep can sometimes be hard but there is a few things you can do to make your sleep life a little easier.  If you find it hard to nod off a eye mark is great for blocking out any light and even a spritz of thisworks pillow spray will make you feel relaxed and ready for a nice peaceful sleep.  As nap time is a must for all of us, investing in some good bedsheets and pillows is also really important too as you need to be comfortable when in bed at all times.

BREAKFAST

It’s crazy to think but a lot of us miss breakfast everyday. With all the trouble of getting ready for work each morning, we seem to forget to refuel our tummies and put something good in to get more out. A good breakfast that can be eaten on your way to work or in the office is Quaker Oats. Filled with natural ingredients, porridge is a slow energy releasing food that will keep you full and happy until lunch. As this breakfast is a little to plain for me I like to add some raspberries and blueberries to give it a fruity twist and if you are feeling a little naughty, a spoon of chocolate spread will really liven up the taste.

DRINK

I know many people went dry for January but there is no reason why you can’t reduce the amount of alcohol you consume during 2016. Shloer is a great drink to enjoy that is booze free and has lots of flavours to try out. It is a brilliant product to take to any dinner party and I love how fruity it is.

Wellbeing

If you are looking for more of an everyday drink T2 Tea are great to drink at home or at work. I tried their Peace, Love and Peppermint flavour and Happy Sippy Citrus which was gorgeous. Me and Gary are huge tea fans and will be drinking these more regularly.

DOWNTIME

I don’t know about you but I find it very hard to find 5 minutes to myself in between blogging, working, doing up our house and trying to see family and friends. On the odd occasion that I have a free hour, I love to have a bath. As I always have showers in my routine, it’s nice to able to run a hot tub, light a candle and unwind. Liz Earle have some lovely candles that are perfect for a splash about and with different gorgeous fragrances on offer, they are great for any special bath time.

Wellbeing

As well as enjoying a relaxing time in the bath, using a good scrub is also a great way to give your body a new lease of life. Pura Vida Body scrub contains natural ingredients such as coffee and coconut and will completely shake up your senses.  Cleaning away the dead skin and clearing your pores, this scrub is lovely to use and is perfect enjoy when you are lying in the bath, washing away your worries.
