Running with Gola

When you first think of Gola, you normally think, retro trainers, the 70’s and British. As a slightly different spin on their normal projects, the brand have produced some cool sports wear and as someone who likes a run, I thought I would try some out!

I was sent the Pink fitted top, black zip hoodie and calf trousers to try out. As I was due to go on my honeymoon, I wanted to try these pieces out in Scotland and see if they could last on some of the really steep hills that I stupidly decided I would run up.

The top has been designed with threading that does help keep the top in place but with all the movement my body produces while running, it did tend to ride up my stomach so this maybe better for Netball, down the gym and soft sports where you won’t be jumping around too much. Apart from that, it was very comfortable and is a great colour!

The trousers are some of the best I have ever had. In a soft and very flattering material, they slim down my legs and give a nice shape to my bottom. These stayed in place too when I was running and are ideal for this weather that can’t decide what it wants to do.

Now my favourite piece though is the track hoodie. In a very luxurious fabric this hoodie actually felt too good to use for sports! I did use it for running in Scotland but is is also light weight enough that you can tie it round your waist if you get too hot.

Gola has always been a cool, British brand but now with this sports range, they are taking it in a new direction, appealing to more customers and above all, making great product that works. Definitely a 10/10 from me!
