I love a slogan tee as much as the next girl but generally I tend to stay away from the ‘Geek’ and ‘Nerd’ tops that circulated everywhere this past summer.  As I am a huge fan of New York and love sports wear, this Brookhaven’s top from JD Sports is perfect for this unpredictable weather. Available in this deep marron, I love the cropped design and box shape which seems to be creeping back in trend. It’s made from a very soft cotton and will be great for layering. Sizing runs a little big on Brookhaven so maybe get a smaller size.

To continue with the wording love, I thought I would showcase this awesome ‘PEACE’ cap from Miss Guided. available in Black and other wording too, this cap is one of the pieces I want to wear for London Fashion Week with some cute tailoring, it will look perfect.

So for an impact look, I needed some impact shoes and no one does impact like Dr Martens. With their recent studded obsession continuing through 2013, I was in my element with their full stud boots and these sandals that simply tipped me off the scales. With thick leather straps and a chunky sole, these shoes will take some getting used to when walking around but the investment is worth it and they are so cute with socks too.
