I hate workwear. When I worked in an office I hated the ladies’ two-piece suits that were available and to be honest a shirt and black trouser combo never floated my boat. Workwear has changed though thankfully for the masses and with pretty dresses, chic shorts, and cute blouses, here’s my new angle on workwear for summer 2019
One item that has struck a smart and fun tone is this floral print dress from H&M. A snip at £17.99, it’s light, floaty and looks super cute with a leather belt. The shirt cut is great for the office and the cotton material is perfect for keeping you cool over the summer period.
To give this outfit some edge I added these cool suede cowboy boots from ASOS. I have had them a few seasons now but I love the faded star design and these would look fab with some ankle cut jeans or a drapey dress.
To finish off this look, a work bag was essential! I love this Coach bag that I bought last season. I bought it for my birthday and it is the ideal bag for the office or for your travels. It’s big enough for your laptop, phone and makeup and I just love its gorgeous tan leather style.
If you need to shop for some workwear with a difference try ASOS. They have great prints and some lovely work 2 night outfits.
Topshop are good too as they have tons of work safe dresses and loads of blouses that can adapt to any wardrobe.
