When you have a busy job and you blog full time, romancing the Husband seems to get a little left out. Thankfully though Expedia recently got in touch about having a little romantic dinner which both me and Gary definitely deserved. The new campaign from the brand, is called LOVE World on a Plate and with a quick stop to Sainsbury’s we got enough goodies to russell up a Italian style meal that was healthy and fresh. As me and Gary love fish we decided to try out some fresh salmon which we cooked in a Lemon and Dill sauce with fresh salad, a flat mushroom and Asparagus. Using herbs to flavour our dish, the meal was alive with flavour and texture and I just love how tasty the salmon was with all that fruit and veg! We also used some hot chilli oil to liven it up but really it was the perfect meal for us to share and consume within 30 seconds.
Even though it wasn’t Valentine’s Day or one of our birthdays, I do think it’s really important for me and Gary to spend some quality time together and having a sit down meal is the best way to achieve that. So why don’t you try a romantic meal this weekend? Maybe try something that is a little French?
