We have all been there…had a Halloween bash on the horizon and not had any idea of what to wear how to do our makeup…
As I’m someone who realises she is in this predicament on the day of the party, I thought I would show you some quick looks that took less then 10 minutes each and that are easy to achieve.
so….enjoy!
Goth Glam
Bowie was a huge part of the glam rock days and influenced many with his fashion choices and music. So why not honour this icon with some freehand drawn designs and statement lippy?
After you apply your foundation and concealer (if needed) use Rimmel’s new Scandaleyes liquid Eyeliner and get creative…
I loved using this product as it was easy to smudged once applied and lasts ages too! I wanted to make a feature of one eye so I used that as inspiration to get my look started.
I also applied Rimmel’s new Scandaleyes mascara to give my lashes that real impact and Scandalous look.
Lips are great to experiment with too for Halloween but as my eye makeup is doing all the talking I just used one of Rimmel’s new Matt lipsticks ‘Take the Stage’ for a touch of Glamour. I love this sensational red shade and it looks lush with my rock-god eye makeup.
I wasn’t sure what to do with my hair at first but I thought a side bun was good contrast against my makeup style. The girls in the 60’s and 70’s used to wear oversized buns anyway so I thought it was a real nod to that generation. Toni and Guy have created some great hair accessories for Halloween so I thought I would try this cute 🐰 ear hairband and rocky chic 💀 bow. Using your brush, direct the hair to the side you want your bun to be. As my head is half shaven, the decision was pretty easy for me to make.
Watch out for any stray hairs at the back and once all your hair is collected, twist it into a bun. Using the bunny ears hairband, secure the bun making sure the ears are at the top of the bun so they are visible. Then simply slide the bow in your hair just above where the hairband sits and you’re done!
So simple to do and just use some hairspray to keep your look in place for longer.
Spider Girl
I used to love doodling on my books at school so I thought it was the perfect excuse to draw on my face for Halloween.
As I’m not particularly scared of our 8 legged friends, I decided to draw some spiders on my face and neck using Rimmel’s Scandaleyes liquid Eyeliner for a girlie look that has a dark twist. It was surprisingly easy to do but if you think you need a hand with this, ask a willing friend to do it for you. I also used Rimmel’s Scandaleyes mascara again for really impacting eyes.
For my hair I wanted to keep it simply and try out this great ear cuff and clip from Toni and Guy which just looks amazing! It instantly gives my halloween look a punk-injection and I just had to include this gold and black Spider hair slide too which really inspired my look.
To finish my look I applied Rimmel’s Matt lipstick in this gorgeous ‘Run the show’ purple. I’m a huge fan of purple lipstick and I thought this shade was perfect to wear for this look.
Do you like these Halloween makeup ideas? They were so fun to create!
