Dark and hellish demons must have raised their heads for the new Jean-Charles De Castelbajac show for A/W 2012. With exaggerated feathered headgear, Volcanic displays and flame patterned dresses, the audience must have been taken by surprise by Jean-Charles’ more serious and dark vision for a very cold and dark season. Among the collection, pieces that shone were the over-sized collar and belted coat, the multi-coloured wrap knit and the eagle print blouses and outerwear which really out flew the rest of the competition. As the designer has always had fun with his past collections, this new season seems to have taken a more serious and even message-baring route and given a new side to it’s creator and his new vision for us all.
