I have always wanted to try making Smoothies and after my Husband, bought this own blender, it was time for us to experiment with it!

Gary has already made Smoothies in the past so it was really easy for us to make a Strawberry one for us to enjoy! This is a great idea if you want a drink for a family get together during the summer or even to make with the kiddies (as long as they are supervised around knives and the blender).

What you need:

* A blender (of course)

* One pack of Strawberries(for two – three people)

* Plain Vanilla Ice cream

* Milk

So what’s next?

First give the Strawberries a wash and cut out the leaves and stalks.

Once they are all washed and clean, throw them into the blender and add 5 spoonfuls of Vanilla Ice cream.

Once the ice cream is in the blender, add the milk in afterwards and pour it in until it reaches just below the 3/4 mark on the blender jar.

Then simply pop the jar on top of the blender and blend!! You don’t need to do it for very long, only about 10 seconds and it’s ready to serve!

We cut some strawberries to sit on the rim of the glasses but you could be naughty and add some baby marshmallows or possibly even some whip cream if you want to be REALLY Naughty!
