How to layer with a hoodie this spring

It’s 17 degrees today, no sorry it’s now 12 and it’s 10 tomorrow…

If you are a UK dweller like me, unsteady weather is always the norm so the one thing you need to be able to do when you live here is layer.

Whether you use a tee, a shirt and a light jacket or wear something light under something heavy (a faux fur maybe?), laying is needed to surviving unpredictable conditions come wind, rain or shine!

As the ‘laying with a hoodie‘ trend is back in play, I thought I would showcase my own version of this look and show off how fun this style can be!

BRIGHT COLOURS

Hoodies are there to have fun with so why not choose a statement colour?! I love my lilac hoodie from Topshop as it is great all year round and the colour is perfect for spring too! Maybe try a bright green to contrast against denim and even a royal blue would break-up a cute, floral tee-dress.

CLASHING TRENDS

Laying an outfit enables you to play around with new seasonal looks that would be not be weather efficient on their own. As double denim has always been a massive NO NO for me, I thought I would try this trend out with a cute denim dress from Zara and a even cuter statement jacket from the brand too.

And you know what?! I love it!

ACCESSORISING

Statement pieces are great when layering with a hoodie so why not try some eye-popping shoes like the velvet ones I am wearing here or carry a real iconic bag which will turn heads and get some stares happening!
