Glastonbury 2013 – Day 1 – Unpacking

IMG_3361IMG_3380IMG_3372IMG_3383IMG_3392If you have ever been to Glastonbury, you know that the setting up on your tent and moving your bits from the one of 49 car parks to your camp site can be a long and tiring one.  It probably also doesn’t help that for us, as soon as we parked up our car, the heaven’s opened and poured until the early hours of the next morning.  I was totally in the festival spirit and was wearing this little number but taking pictures in the pouring rain was possible so I waiting until the sun was out again.

Playsuits and summer are the best of friends and I knew this cute tie-dye one from Superdry was going to be ideal for Glastonbury. With a pull waist cord and adjustable straps, it has a slight oversize cut but it works well with as it has that casual feel. It’s also available in four colours too so at least there is plenty of option.

Ralph Lauren aren’t normally the brand you would expect to wear well at Glastonbury but their casual and cool Denim and Supply brand is the perfect festival partner. This camo and American flag waistcoat is just one of the gems that I fell in love with and I knew this would be a strong favourite of mine for Glasto.  With a retro orange lining that was used in many 70’s jackets and coats, this waistcoat has that vintage feel and can be thrown over a dress or jeans and a vest.

Footwear has to be majorly planned when you go to any festival but as the ground started to dry out I wanted to showcase these Juju Jellies that I was wearing before the rain came. I actually had a pair of these when I was about 7 and another pair when they made a second come back when I was 14.  Now at the age of 30 I think every girl needs a pair of these shoes. They come in a massive range of colours and have a few different heel heights and styles too. They are really comfortable and look super cute with socks too.
