I’ve never been one to go to horse races. I do have a love for the gorgeous creatures but anything to do with betting just doesn’t get me going.

Its funny then that I recently recieved an invite for my husband and I to attend the Hennessy Gold Cup. As I have never actually been to the races and experienced a jolly knees up there, I thought it would be a good idea to except the invitation and experience this new world I normally shy from.

As well as sorting out how to get there and what time we will arrive, I also have the task of sorting out my outfit!!!

I normally NEVER wear the sort of get up ladies wear to races(I see it as a little old fashioned) so I really want to try and style an outfit that will still be me but would look the part too. I think this cool metallic dress and blue faux fur coat from Kaleidoscope will look ace and these pieces will be perfect for the autumn/winter weather at the end of the month. They both look feminine but have a hit of colours which is me all over.
