With a busy job, blog and home life, simple things such as getting your hair cut can fall by the way side. It’s pretty lucky then that Amy and myself found our trip to Paris to be the perfect excuse to go and get us and our hair treated by the lovely folk at Toni and Guy. With branches all over the country, we opted to get some pampering done at the Great Portland Street store, near Oxford Circus. Funny enough I have walked past this branch many a time when I was working at TOPSHOP but for some reason, I never went in! Located in the busy West End, it’s in a great spot if you work near by or if you are planning a trip to the shopper Mecca of London.

On my arrival with Amy, we were greeted with warm smiles and were seated together so we could begin our consultation. I knew I wanted a colour and my roots doing and a trim so I wasn’t planing anything too crazy. It was only when I was flipping through Toni and Guy’s latest magazine that I saw a model with an undercut that I decided I wanted one. I have had this style before so to me, it wasn’t a big deal to have some of my head shaved. After a chat with Caroline my stylist about having a trim, an undercut and having some weight taken out of my hair, we were ready to begin!
First up the team sorted out my colour. As I normally do a box colour at home, mainly because it’s cheaper, it was nice to have it done by Toni and Guy. The team prepped the bleach and brushed in the mixture into my roots. Once it was done, I had to wait half an hour or so for it to set so I chatted to Amy about Paris and our collaboration together.

Once my colour was set and I ordered another cup of tea, my hair was ready to wash. I’ve have always loved having my hair washed and it’s even better when you get a head massage too! I was in dreamland while my hair was shampoo’ed and conditioned and once the soap suds were out, I had my colour applied. I wanted a pink colour at first but after talking it over with Caroline, she prepped a nice apricot colour for me instead.

And the results were brilliant! Lots of the staff came to see what sort of colour I was having and once it was set and rinsed out, I got to see how cool it was too! I loved how subtle the colour was and when my hair was tidied up, shaved and trimmed, the transformation was amazing!

I loved my new undercut and my hair felt so light and fresh. I am still so pleased with the way it looks now and Caroline and the team just made mine and Amy’s experience so special.
