Fluffy & Clueless

Bunnipunch outfit post AW 13Bunnipunch outfit post AW 13Bunnipunch outfit post AW 13Bunnipunch outfit post AW 13IMG_6214IMG_6267The fashion of the 90’s and clueless is back with a bang for A/W and I thought I would experiment with some of its inspirations and keep my style intact too. I remember Cher was all about the fluffy feather accessories in the iconic film and this amazing pink bag from ASOS totally reminded me of this cute and super girlie look. With a gold chain and enough room to store your night-time essentials, this bag is a must for A/W and it’s been a favourite of others on my Instagram already!

As Tartan is massive this year I know that the 90’s was all about wrapping your check shirt around your waist or rocking check on pretty much anything. The Fashion world has gone mental over Skorts and I love how flattering they are so I knew this one from Fashion Union was perfect for that 90’s edge. With a warm fabric that can be worn in this unpredictable weather, it’s ideal with tights and boots or dressed up for dinner with heels and a leather jacket.

Talking of jackets, the bomber jacket has frequently been in and out of fashion for as long as I can remember. Taken from the Baseball and varsity inspiration, it has taken on it’s on leaps and bounds and is now an iconic shape that keeps getting reinvented. I love this gold thread pattern sleeve jacket that I found on a recent trip to Forever 21. The brand have loads of different options of bombers but this one just leap out at me. With an oversize style, that is comfortable and so diverse, it is now one of my favourite jackets of this year and modernizes this look completely. It also has a Versace style to it and they were truly a huge inspiration in the 90’s.

We all wore those motif tee’s in the 90’s and I loved how this LUXE tee from Fashion Union gave me look a grungy twist. It’s a pretty cute t-shirt that is going to look great with jeans and shorts but best of all, it has just enough sass to make me love it!

Clumpy shoes were all the rage in Clueless and that Mary-jane injection of the ankle strap was a must! I adore these Spy Love Buy Wedges as they are so wearable and you can easily walk around in them without feeling the need to hold onto the wall to hold yourself up. With a cute velvet look and a chunky heel, you will be high in these babies but they are totally statement making and take me back to my time as a teen in the 90’s.

Bunnipunch outfit post AW 13I have been using lots of Miners products recently so I thought I would try their Fresh Faced Foundation in Buff and their new Waterpoof Mascara. The foundation was surprising soft as I normally only use Mac but this Fresh Faced one was great for my colour and didn’t dry out my skin. The Mascara was definitely waterproof but just gave a slight detail to the eyes so probably good as a work Mascara as I normally prefer ones that make my eyes pop.

For the lips, I thought my look was pretty loud so I wanted to wear Bobbi Brown’s Baby Pink Lip colour. It does look a lot darker when you first open the packing but I like how it matches my lip color extremely well and just gave them a nice light gloss that is safe and not shocking. It’s texture was also very silky and didn’t dry my lips out which many other brands do.
