Fille grecque à Paris

Day 2 of mine and Amy’s little adventure was a very fun packed one. With dinner plans that evening we set out to explore some of central Paris and we even managed a trip to my favourite vintage shop, Episode and kenzo too.

As the weather was warm with a cool breeze, I wanted to wear something loose and chic and I think this outfit I’m wearing here is ideal for any city adventures.

I have had this dress from Choies for a while now but I really love how oversized the fit is and the print has a real Grecian feel to it. I always wear shorts underneath as it’s not particularly long and my white cotton ones from Topshop are great for layering.

I have worn these shoes before in St Malo(see post here) and because they are ridiculously comfortable, I knew they were the perfect sandal to take to Paris. With their vintage gold detail and strap ties, these shoes are a little Grecian too and I’m so thankfully New Look made them.

Now statement sunglasses are a great way to give a look a twist and these grey, cut-out ones from Grey Ant do just that. With a modern frame and cool tortoise shell design, these sunglasses are all about turning heads and they definitely did that on our whole trip.

You may notice that I have a rather cool chain hanging from my sunglasses and these were all the range back in the day. As a kid of the 80’s (I think most of my readers are kids of the 90’s), I wore chains like these ones repeatedly. I had neon ones for my black Rayban style sunglasses and I had many different coloured ones for my glasses. Now when I first saw this chain at my mate’s agency (The Goods Agency – they rock), I knew I had to try them. Frame Chain are the masters behind these blasts from the pasts and if you want to give your outfit a retro hit, these guys are the ones to hit up!

I think the hat I am wearing here from Piarossini really does finish off my outfit nicely. When I received it in the post, I only had a week to go until this trip so it was lovely to take it with me. It wasn’t too hot wearing it either and I love the contrasting black band.

Amy looks as gorgeous as ever in her ensemble. Her vintage style dress looks heavenly against the Parisian backdrop and her accessories are styled with ease.
