Felipe Oliveira Baptista – PFW A/W 2011

Felipe Oliveira Baptista’s show was an absolute treat! With a love I have for tailoring, it was really interesting to see it in different shapes and silhouettes in this collection.  Felipe’s pieces were very individual even though he used some very traditional styles; he still had his own mark on the collection. A key item was the cropped top and tails piece that was matched with dresses or to finish off a pair of high-waisted trousers. This complimented both pieces beautifully.  Other items included the sheer blouses with collar and sleeve details and silk dresses with shoulder and neck decoration that gave the little black dress that edge and interest.  Most importantly about the collection was it was wearable. You could wear these pieces for either going out, casual time or work which if you did wear to the office, would definitely turn heads.
