Experiencing London Fashion Week with Simply Be

London Fashion week with Simply be 2015I really love Simply Be so it was lovely to work with the brand and do their Instagram feed over London Fashion Week. As it’s a really fun and exciting atmosphere to be in, it was really interesting to record these moments and share them with fans and followers of Simply be.  Whether it was street style, catwalk coverage or what’s happening at Somerset House, I think those who love the brand were really receptive to all the pictures I posted and it showed them a world that they may not get to see everyday.

Day 1

There’s always some excitement on the first day. You get to catch up with people you haven’t seen in ages, check out the street style and see what your favourite brands are doing on the catwalk.

My first day was pretty mental. I was up at 6:30am and at Somerset House for 9:00 for J.JS.Lee.  I love seeing Jackie Lee’s collections and her new AW15 range was a chic delight of boxy cuts and with a plain colour palette.  I also managed to see Bora Aksu and Felder Felder before I called it a day and both their shows were brilliant and of course chic and wearable for the new season.

Day 2

It was again a 9am start as I headed to my first show from Mother of Pearl. I had only 3 hours sleep so I knew I would suffer come home time.

Orla Kiely was a great show to see featuring wearable clothes and cute fashion pieces that were amazingly styled and classic Kiely. With the show set in a library, the collection was great to see and a favourite of mine.

I also got to see Jasper Conran this season which was a really enjoyable collection to bestow. With classic drop waist dresses, dark AW colours and a leafy catwalk, this collection looked utterly stunning and easy for any woman to wear.

Day 3

Big day on the show front today! I popped into Mulberry in the morning followed by an amazing collaboration with Aprinal of London x Etre Cecile and Belstaff had some amazing outerwear pieces that has been military styles on the may for AW15.

Day 4

Sadly the tiredness started to wear in today so I opted for a Street style photography day. The sun had finally showed it’s face so everyone was in a bright mood and with the warmer weather brought out brave bear legs, flash sunglasses and even some statement looks to show off.

Day 5

Last day of LFW and Somerset House was again awash with Streetstyle photographers and people catching the last shows.
I caught Emilio De La Morena which was a glorious collection of velvet, lace and sexy silhouettes for AW15. With a creative edge and tons of inspiration, it was loved by all that saw it and those who will wear it.
The exhibitions were also great to see and sometimes you can find more fun designers inside Somerset house then you can on the catwalks during LFW.

Overall street style was one thing I really enjoyed sharing as it is great to show an audience any up and coming styles that the fashionista’s are wearing.  I saw a few trends come out from the streets this month including flats, fun fur, Flares, Denim and the 70’s.  Simply Be already has some key pieces to achieve these trends included a gorgeous Faux fur gilet, white crochet top, an amazing Denim studio and enough flats to keep you comfortable and stylish this season.  There are even some cool summer flare trousers, Blanket wraps for spring and plenty of other pieces to keep you in the loop just like the Fashion week crowd.

Check out Simply Be’s instagram here and all the images I shared for the week.
