Dinner with The Diner, Shoreditch London (and Competition!!)

With tons of blogging projects and working full time, Gary and I don’t seem to get out much at the moment. As we are in the process of buying a house too, things are a little manic so you can imagine I jumped at the chance for us to have lunch at our favourite diner, in our favourite part of London.

I have very fond memories of The Diner. When I was living in London and single, it was the perfect place to go for a milkshake and catch up with the my girlies and it was even a hangout place for me and my flat mates when we had hangovers in Queen’s Park. Gary even came to those fizzy head breakfasts so he loves The Diner as much as I do.

As I have never been to the one in Shoreditch and it’s only 30 mins on the train from our gaff, it seemed like the ideal location to take Gary and enjoy some food on a sunday afternoon.

Sitting in a booth by the window with the sun shining through was total joy for us but somehow the food was even better.

Gary opted for a Californian burger because, well just because he fancied some beef but I pushed out the boat and decided on The Diner’s famous BCC dog with mushrooms. I’ve never had one from there before but with a combo on sweet potato fries, I was in belly heaven and even with a Oreo milkshake on the go, I was ready to burst with excitement and too much good food.  Gary seemed to enjoy this burger too as he was making all the right food consuming noises and even he gave me a ‘thumbs up’ twice which I can translate as excellent in Gary language.

I always love going to the diner as the food is always bang on and the staff are really friendly and seem to enjoy their job which is a plus too.

It’s definitely a favourite place for me and Gary and with a fair branches in London now, I definitely recommend anyone going for a meal. It’s reasonably priced too which is always a question mark for restaurants in the capital and well, if Londoners love it? It’s gonna be worth a try, right?!

On our walk back to Liverpool Street, we grabbed some quick outfit pictures (which will be up shortly) and Gary even snapped me in front of this amazing graffiti wall!

Looks pretty great ah?

Now for the competition!!

But if you aren’t tempted enough by good, tasty burgers from The Diner, maybe you will be tempted by this amazing competition they are currently running in their restaurants and with Bunnipunch!

To celebrate the launch of The Diner’s statement T-shirts, London’s favourite hangout is launching a competition for one ridiculously lucky customer and a friend to win a trip to the Big Apple. The winner of this incredible prize will receive flights, accommodation and dinner at 5 Napkin Burger, a modern New York burger institution. Each customer who buys one of The Diners t-shirts will be entered into the draw automatically, with the winner drawn on New Year’s Day 2016. A win-win scenario!

Now here comes the fun bit…

I am offering the chance for my readers to win:

A meal for two at one of the 8 Diner locations

2x free t-shirts

Entry to the draw to win a trip to New York

Sound pretty GOOD? All you need to do is comment below with your name, email and why you want to go to NYC and you could win a meal, some cool t-shirts and you might be lucky enough to win this amazing trip of a lifetime!

  1. I’d love to visit NYC because it’s my 30th birthday next month and it’s a dream of mine to become more well travelled, especially now that I’m single again. I’d love to visit the museums and art galleries the most ☺️

  2. i want to go to New York because, come on, it’s New York. Wild, crazy, ridiculous New York. The city that never sleeps, which is a good job, because anyone who visits doesn’t want to waste a single second asleep when they could be roaming the streets, tasting the food, riding the subway, shopping Soho, catching sunsets, losing themselves in Central Park. I want to go to New York because I love every crazy, sexy, beautiful thing about it.

    So there’s that… 🙂

  3. I would love to go back to NYC because I fell head over heels in love with the city last year. It completely stole my heart and I’m dying to soak up more of the city. There’s so much more to the Big Apple!

  4. I’d like to visit NYC to eat the waffles and pancakes, eat some burgers and ribs, stand on the bridges, look at the Statue of Liberty and get a helicopter flight over the city drinking a milkshake 🙂
PS nice photos in the article :>
