Corrie Nielsen – London Fashion Week A/W 2011

I must confess I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect when I first received invites to Corrie Nielsen’s Show, but I was truly amazed.
The Collection for A/W had a wide range of influences from classic tailored pieces with an Edwardian statement to the beautiful gowns that have inspirations of a majestic nature. It was plain to see that so much time and effect and also creativity had gone into such a diverse collect of pieces.
Fabric tied into giant bows, Harem tweed and gathered waists featured on some of the more unlikely styles, giving them more depth and detail that was attention grabbing and pleasing.
Among the more wearable pieces dresses and trouser suits fitted for the more commercial department, while the gowns that were so beautiful in their design would be perfect for any show stopper.
Corrie’s Show was definitely a collection I would want to see again and witness her move on to spring/Summer for 2012 but for now, Winter looks set to be a Nielsen-clad one.
