Due to moving into our new house on 22nd December and having Christmas 3 days afterwards, it kind of felt like my birthday didn’t really happen this year. It can feel like that sometimes as it is so close to Christmas but as we had a stay in the Amba Hotel at Marble Arch, at least I could semi-celebrate turning 33 and worry about all the packing we had to do later.
Now I always celebrate my birthday in London and with a free day to wander around and do whatever we wished, Gary had the chance to get some quick snaps of this cute outfit I was wearing that really embraced the 70’s and a time of pure love and peace.
As suede was a material worn massively during the hippy period, I wanted to try wearing this cool fabric and I have to say, I am pretty pleased with how this look turned out. Â New Look have some great pieces you can still get hold of including this cute popper button skirt and cool tan suede biker jacket. I loved wearing these clash of suedes and with a cute stripe top and some sensible brogues, this is a girlie look that I loved to wear on my birthday and it was uber comfortable too.
I think this is a look that Alexia would wear or even Gigi and it’s such an easy style to achieve. Topshop still have some 70’s pieces in stock and even boohoo have an injection of the past in their AW15 collections so any girl can have a go at a outfit like this one I am wearing here.
Rock on ladies!
