Afternoon Tea ensemble

Tea and cake with a mate is always good but what do you wear for such an occasion?

Having been invited to The Arch London to experience their afternoon tea, I was a little lost on what outfit I would call appropriate. After a few scratching head moments, I decided on this look that is girlie-meets-slogan-meets-trendy and I think it works really well.
Mixing this khaki shirt from Zara seemed like a sensible idea especially as the weather has been so up and down and I just love how it looks with a simple, crisp white tee and print shorts.

As shoes and bags tend to lead any outfit for me, I thought I would wear my Pinko ‘Love me Tender’ leather bag (which I want to wear all the time) and my lush Peace/Love navy boots. When I saw these babies on ASOS, I knew I had to have them.  With their multi-coloured wording and shimmery texture, they are one of my favourite pairs of shows at the moment. I especially love how brash and brazen they are and they look so groovy and 1970’s!

Would you wear shoes like these? They are so comfortable and a steal for £45!

Do you like my outfit? What would wear to afternoon tea?
