When it comes to hotels, Paris has some of the best. Whether they are modern or extremely vintage, Paris is the place if you want 5 star luxury.
When me and Amy started planning our trip to Paris, we scouted for hotels near the river. Now as PFW happens around/near the Louvre, I always seem to migrate to this area and that’s how we found Hôtel Pont Royal. Situated south of the river in a very lush part of Paris, everything about the Hôtel Pont Royal is luscious, rich with heritage and comfortable.
Our first impression when we walked in was ‘how posh is this!’ With very helpful staff and a really warm welcome, we were so impressed with the hotel from the off.
The room we stayed in was centred above the hotel entrance and had the biggest window I had ever seen! With a view of the street below, it was lovely to people watch everyday and experience the morning sunshine when we opened the remote-controlled curtains.
The room was beautifully arranged too with two single beds, a sofa, a TV and a wardrobe big enough for all our outfits. We also had tons of space in general for our makeup, shoes and bags and the beds were so comfortable to sleep in.
As well as two goodnights’ sleep, breakfast at the hotel was also rather enjoyable. With a tick list order form available each day, it was lovely to order what you wanted the night before and once the form was completed, we simply hung it on the door’s handle for the staff to collect. With the option of what time you want breakfast too, it was lovely to enjoy breakfast in bed as soon as we woke up. There was a great array of croissants and rolls on offer but the toast and jam were my favourite. As Amy needed a glutton free option she opted for a yogurt and some fruit instead.

The Hôtel Pont Royal is based in a great location in Paris. With the river only a few streets away and many museums, cafes and shops within walking distance, it’s the ideal hotel if you are away with friends or on a romantic getaway.
I would definitely go back as the hotel was stunning, the staff were friendly and our stay was just perfect!
Thanks for having us Hôtel Pont Royal!
