A change of hair

Since the dawn of time (or the last 2 years at least), I have been blonde. Well bleach blonde to be exact and after continued root dying and watching my hair become more like straw, I finally decided it was time for a change. Now don’t get me wrong, I will miss my bleached look but sometimes it’s better to have a healthy looking head of hair then a dried up mess.

If you have ever bleached your hair or know friends who have, growing out the colour can be a painful process. I have noticed that Miley Cyrus has recently made that brave choice(she has made it look very boho) but I think it can sometimes look hideous and honestly I’m not sure I could pull it off.

With that in mind, I decided to go with a colour that disguises my roots but also gives my look a reboot. Cue L’Oréal Préférence Infinia, a hair colour collection that is ultra-intense but still looks natural and fresh. I wasn’t sure at first what colour I wanted but I totally fell in love when I saw the Mango (74) shade so I decided to push the boat out and go a bold orange.

The product was easy to apply like most hair dye kits(you get a lovely conditioner included and a colour extender) but I was really surprised at how bright and electric the colour was from the get go. I find bleached hair can be hard to dye over sometimes but this Mango worked perfectly!!

After 3 weeks I have noticed that the colour has calmed down a little and you can sometimes see the bleach trying to come through but L’Oréal’s dye has managed to hold its own.

What do you think of my new hair? It did take a while to get used to but I really love it now!
