David Koma S/S 2014 – London Fashion Week

David Koma SS14For something theatrical and dramatic, David Koma always seems to be able to provide that essence for every London Fashion Week.  With collections that have modern twists, bold colours and wearable clothes, the designer has trumped all his past looks and has created beautiful vision for S/S 2014.  Using a simple colour palette of cobalt, powder pink, pale blue and classic black and white, it was more the shapes and cuts that spoke louder for the new range.  Strapless dresses gave a sophisticated work-look while the frills and body panels hinted at a dominatrix style with a playful edge. More interesting though was the inspiration and injection of Japanese culture and cuts. Wraps, body armour and shapely pieces looked like a uniform for a new breed of feminine Samurai Army that uses their femininity and strong knowledge rather than their sword play.
