We are all gagging to see the summer finally arrive in the UK but with a hopefully mind, I wanted to experiment with some pieces that I am thinking of wearing when the summer weather finally kicks in!
Marc Cain has some great pieces for the new season including this lightweight lime green jacket. Ideal for protecting you from spring showers and providing a little layer of warmth, this jacket is going to be perfect for Glastonbury and those last nights at the pub.
To match this cool jacket, I thought this Hand print vest from Fashion Union and dip-dye shirt from Bank worked perfectly. With a casual edge, both pieces embody that summer feeling but can be easily layered now until the weather gets warmer.
Shorts are like a staple to my wardrobe and I totally fell for these palm tree print Voodoo Girl Couture shorts and I can’t wait to wear them daily when the sun comes out! I opted for a size 14 as this style is to be worn high on the hips but I think I’m a little too old to be wearing shorts like that.
I have already featured Brit-Stitch but this Half-pint shoulder bag is another one of the brand’s cute styles. These bags are all made from strong and durable leather but this baby is probably best for when festival season kicks in and you don’t want to carry too much around. I simply love this colour too and is bang on-trend and gorgeous.
Continuing with my Fitflop Journey, I finished off this outfit with the Rock Chic blue sandals and they are just as comfortable as the white fitflop’s I tried before. With Midnight coloured beading and cushioned straps, my love affair with Fitflops is stronger than ever and I can’t wait to wear more of these puppies in the summer.
