Nestled moments away from South Kensington tube station, Ceru restaurant is an untapped resource of good food and good people. Menu’ed up with mediterranean food that is various and perfect for sharing, me and Amy headed to this haven during LFW to refuel and experience something different.
The restaurant itself is a very friendly and welcoming place. Booths line the walls, ushering you in to take a seat and the staff are knowledgable and ready to suggest dishes and answer your questions.
One look at the menu and me and Amy knew we wanted to try and share as many different dishes as we could. We ordered the Grilled Halloumi & Red Peppers, Roasted Pumpkin, Crisp Apple, Mint & Pomegranate Salad, the Spiced Warm Cauliflower & Walnut Salad, Persian Kafta beef and the Shish Taouk chicken. We were both starving so we thought these options would be enough for two of us.
And we weren’t disappointed when they arrived.
Presented beautifully, all the dishes were a feast for the eyes and our bellies, and we were both very quiet while we devoured it all. The beef and chicken were favourites of mine and the Roasted Pumpkin was utter heaven!
Surprisingly we had a little room to share a dessert so we tried the Dark Chocolate Mousse which was served in a cute, Moroccan style cup. It was the perfect size to finish off our experience at Ceru and with a interior to die for and moorish dishes, I can not wait to go back with Gary, hopefully as soon as possible.
