I love cats.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not some strange cat lady but after having a few pet cats when I was young, I have grown a huge attachment to these furry friends and I love the company and affection you can get from them.
As I haven’t had a pet cat for a long time, I was pretty beside myself when I was invited down to London Cat Village to enjoy some yummy tea and cake and see a few of their cute pets too.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first arrived at the cafe but I was really pleasantly surprised. Situated in the heart of East London, the cafe itself was a very relaxed and a happy environment to be in. With slippers for guests to wear, it felt really comfortable and homely and the staff were really friendly and chatty. With a tranquil atmosphere, I can imagine it would be a great place to take your laptop and get some work done or to just sit back and escape from the London grind. The cat’s themselves seemed pretty happy too! With plenty of fellow cats to chase and play with, they even had giant towers to climb and shelfs to explore and sit on. Some of them even came and sat with us and even a non cat lover like Gary was sold on them.
If you want somewhere new to explore in London then this is the place. With a small £5 entry fee, it is well worth the money as you can stay in there for a few hours, use their wifi and enjoy delicious refreshments and stroke the moggies too.
Check out their website here and they are even on twitter too!
